The Britten-Pears Foundation has generously commissioned Matthew Taylor and Charlotte Bray to compose two new works for Antonis Hatzinikolaou. Fantasy for Guitar and Passing Shadows will appear on the new CD release by the NMC label in April 2013. NMC’s first ever solo guitar album, will include previously unrecorded solo guitar works by English composers of the 20th century, and new compositions featuring : Nicholas Maw, Peter Racine Fricker, Bayan Northcott, John McCabe, Matthew Taylor, Charlotte Bray and Joe Atkins.
